Engevity Advisory joins Mott MacDonald

We are pleased to announce that we have joined Mott MacDonald, the AUD$3bn global engineering, management, and development consultancy.

Commenting on the opportunity this presents, Craig Chambers, Engevity’s managing director said: “Engevity Advisory has rapidly built a leading offering in Australia with an experienced team of trusted experts tackling challenging projects and creating enduring value for clients over the last 5 years. Becoming part of Mott MacDonald provides Engevity with a great opportunity to further support the industry and governments through the energy transition. Through their global reach, we will be able to strategically grow and deliver greater value to our trusted clients that are continuing their journey with us.”

For Mott MacDonald, this acquisition helps to accelerate sustainable and renewable project development; strengthen its offering on the transition of regulation, markets and policies that support new technologies; and undertake climate scenario impact modelling and the development of net zero strategies for clients.

Adrian Jones, Mott MacDonald’s managing director for Australia said “Engevity brings deep knowledge and relationships from the energy sector, which when combined with Mott MacDonald’s capabilities, strengthens our ability to better serve clients throughout Australia, the Asia Pacific region and globally. We are delighted to welcome Craig Chambers and the Engevity team to Mott MacDonald.”

Mott MacDonald has also acquired Engevity’s ORCA climate software that complements the company’s existing extensive digital tools and supports its decarbonisation strategy. The new software will enable Mott MacDonald’s clients to better assess and quantify climate risks and opportunities across an economy or portfolio.

Craig Chambers has been appointed as Mott MacDonald's new Energy Lead for Australia and all Engevity team members have now commenced their new roles with Mott MacDonald.

Frances Badelow (General Manager, Mott MacDonald Australia); James Harris (Group Executive Chair, Mott MacDonald); Craig Chambers (Managing Director, Engevity); David Johnson (Regional Managing Director, Mott MacDonald); Cathy Travers (Group Managing Director, Mott MacDonald) and Adrian Jones (Managing Director, Mott MacDonald Australia)
